Yamaha India's CSR initiative, Social Skill Development, focuses on empowering
underprivileged
communities. By collaborating with various engineering institutes and reputable NGOs across
India, Yamaha established Yamaha Training Schools (YTS) certified by the Ministry of Skill
Development & Entrepreneurship and Yamaha.
At YTS, economically disadvantaged youth, including school dropouts, receive comprehensive
training in 2-wheeler technology. This program equips them with valuable skills to become
expert
2-wheeler technicians and find employment at Yamaha dealerships. Through this initiative,
these
young individuals can lead productive lives and contribute to society.
To date, 41 YTS locations are operational in major technical institutes across cities. Over
1,100
students, including female participants, have graduated from the program, opening up
opportunities for a better future.
