Yamaha had organized the extreme biking experience for the YZF-R15 customers. Loaded with true Yamaha racing DNA, the all new YZF-R15 provided complete racing experience to the biking aficionados and hands on feel of its power, stability, cornering and braking. The concept behind the racing is to make its customers feel the pro biking culture in India. Around 100 YZF-R15 bikers had participated in the racing championship which was held on 7th September 2008 at the Madras Motor Sports Club, Chennai. The Racing was held at the full track which is 3.74 kms long and has 12 curves/turns. The final top 3 winner had completed 7 laps to be declared the winner.

Madras Motor Spors Club with its history of over 50 years is the reason that Chennai can be called the epicentre of motor racing in India.

The Irungattukottai race track, which is the first of its kind in India was inaugurated in 1990.
