“An exhaust system is made up of the exhaust pipe, the expansion chamber and the muffler. The performance of the exhaust system depends on the diameter, length and bends in the exhaust pipe, the size and shape of the expansion chamber and the internal pipe layout and partitions inside the muffler. But, when you think of concentrating weight close to the machine’s center of gravity to get better handling performance, conventional mufflers have been too far from the center of gravity. The mid-ship muffler solves this problem while also providing sufficient muffler capacity.”
