F.I. has long been used on automobiles but it was long considered difficult to apply to motorcycles due to layout complications. The F.I. System on the YZF-R15 features lightweight, simple designs for the two main systems that make up F.I., 1) the sensing system that monitors engine running conditions and 2) the fuel supply system that supplies gasoline to the engine.
